If you are unsure of your shoe size, measure your feet to find your size. Please also keep in mind that each men's shoe brand fits differently and therefore your size may be different by brand and even be different by style within the same brand. Please refer to the fit guide and reviews on products for additional information.
Please follow the directions below and take a look at the men's shoe size chart:
- Wearing a sock of medium thickness, stand on a piece of paper.
- Place a mark at the end of your heel and at the tip of your longest toe.
- Mark the sides of your foot at the widest part.
- Measure both feet and use the larger of the two
- To find your size, use these measurements and refer to the sizing chart below.
- If your measurements are between two sizes, or you find one foot's measurement is larger than the other, always move up to the larger size.
It is also helpful to know the width of your foot, widths are expressed in many ways for men's shoes. Below is a shoe width measurement chart that will help you decipher all the variations of width - each shoe manufacturer marks widths differently.

The Right Shoe Size Does Matter
Finding the Perfect Fit
Wearing the right size shoe does matter and the right fit for your big feet is important. If you are unsure of your shoe size use the link below to measure your foot. Size depends on shoe make and style, too so don't assume you always wear one size if the next size larger or smaller feels better.
- Measure both feet. Some people have one foot slightly larger than the other. For most people, the larger foot is the opposite from the hand they write with. Try on shoes starting with your larger foot. For example, if you're right handed, your left foot might be bigger.
- Choose the size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the socks you'll wear most often with your shoes. For thicker socks you may want to order shoes 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.
- Measure your big feet in the afternoon, when feet tend to be their largest.
- Stand up with your shoes on. Walk around a bit. You should be able to wiggle your toes in the front of the shoe. For most footwear, your toes will be able to touch the top of the shoe, but there should be 3/8" to 1/2" of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Don't buy shoes that are too tight. If you're at the point where you're praying they will stretch to be comfortable, they probably won't. It's true that soft leather and suede give slightly, molding to your foot, but they will not dramatically increase in width or length. There's a difference between a "snug", comfortable fit and a "tight", uncomfortable fit. A few laps around a carpet should help you decide how you feel.
- If you require a wide width and no wide width sizes are available, try ordering a size larger in the regular width.
Test Drive your Shoes
When your shoes arrive, try them on with the socks you normally wear and give them a test walk indoors on a carpeted surface. Check to be sure your toes have room to wiggle a bit. International Shoe Size Notes
- Canadian shoe sizes are equivalent (identical) to American shoe sizes.
- Mexican shoe sizes plus 1 are the same as American Men's shoe sizes.
- British shoe sizes plus 1 are the same as American Men's shoe sizes.
- Japanese shoes sizes are American Men's shoes sizes plus 18. (Some companies say add 19.)
- Europe uses a system that came from the French called Paris Points. One Paris Point equals two-thirds of a centimeter. The system starts at zero centimeters and increases. There are no half sizes. American size 0 is the same as 15 Paris Points.
- Australia and New Zealand use the same shoe sizes as the United Kingdom.
Thank you for your help in correcting the order, a very straightforward process.
I bought these shoes about a year ago and left a review saying that these shoes were great but SeaVees could probably update their sustainability protocols. One year later and SeaVees is part of the 1% for the planet initiative and taking valuable steps towards their ethical sourcing and sustainability, and I mean, linen is one of the most sustainable fibers so the Hermosa is a win. I wouldn’t recommend the linen shoes for skateboarding though, one kickflip attempt and they had a hole which has progressively grown to the point of not being wearable almost. They are durable for normal use though. And very comfortable still. A pity Big Shoes has such expensive international shipping because I’d love to buy a replacement.
Seavees have truly created the ultimate smart casual shoe for Summer. The linen is highly breathable and cool and the light colour goes well with anything, can be dressed up with a suit for a more formal smart/casual event, in the summer or spring, or it can be dressed down to give a smart skate look. Great quality and comfort. Fits true to size. The story behind the company is also pretty interesting. Considering their relatively low price these shoes are really quite something, I am amazed more people have not heard of the brand. The lack of transparency of the brand l, sustainability-wise is something which could be improved upon. Overall a good shoe and company, though their are better more sustainable alternatives presumably, I hope this is something SeaVees can improve upon in the future, to make their shoe a ‘great’. Perfect smart alternative to Vans etc.
